Honoring Women in Aerospace: Beishute’s Public Welfare Donation
On the afternoon of July 3, the public welfare donation ceremony titled “Honoring Chinese Aerospace Women: The Power of a Sanitary Pad” was held at the China Academy of Space Technology’s Tianjin base. Organized by Beijing Beishute Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Beishute”), the event saw the donation of ultra-absorbent sanitary pads specifically designed for aerospace women to over 2,000 female employees from five Chinese aerospace units in Tianjin. All the donated sanitary pads were produced at Beishute’s Tianjin production and research base, located in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone.
Beishute: A Legacy of Caring for Women’s Menstrual Needs
Since its establishment in 1994, Beishute has been dedicated to addressing the menstrual needs of women across various fields in China, striving to provide customized products and services. With the continuous growth of China’s aerospace industry, numerous female scientists and astronauts have emerged. At the end of 2021, Beishute officially became a partner of China’s aerospace industry, establishing a joint laboratory with China Aerospace. Last year, Beishute’s lab conducted extensive research over six months, performing 1,095 tests and over 200 samples to develop the ultra-absorbent sanitary pad series specifically for women in aerospace.
In February of this year, Beishute, in collaboration with the China Aerospace Foundation, established the “China Aerospace Women’s Care Research Center.” This center aims to provide high-quality personal care solutions tailored to the unique work environments and practical needs of women in the aerospace field. Besides creating exclusive products for aerospace women, Beishute plans to distribute high-quality products to every aerospace woman. Beishute’s Chairman and CEO, Liu Chongjiu, stated during the event: “With the theme ‘Honoring Chinese Aerospace Women: The Power of a Sanitary Pad,’ Beishute plans to visit 1-2 cities each month this year, donating exclusive sanitary pads and Beishute care cards to all local women working in aerospace to protect their health.”
Expanding Operations and Enhancing Production
Beishute’s headquarters is located in Beijing. In 2020, to enhance research and development capabilities, improve production capacity, and streamline headquarters functions, Beishute initiated the relocation of its headquarters and self-operated factory to Tianjin. That same year, the Tianjin Beishute Operations Center and Tianjin Production and Research Base, located in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, commenced operations, taking over the operational and production functions of Beishute’s Beijing headquarters. Currently, the Tianjin production base houses six globally advanced sanitary pad production lines, with an annual output of 1.2 billion pieces. In the future, Beishute will continue to leverage technological innovation to improve product quality, developing more healthy, comfortable, and high-quality products for Chinese women.
Contributing to Regional Development
In 2023, the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, focusing on integrating national strategies, actively serves collaborative development. The Free Trade Zone will capitalize on opportunities presented by the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, prioritizing “service” and “relocation” to optimize the business environment. By leveraging advantages in high-end connectivity, manufacturing cultivation, dual-port resource utilization, and “Free Trade + Comprehensive Bonded” zones, the Free Trade Zone aims to attract more quality projects and enterprises. It is committed to proactively undertaking the non-capital functions and industrial transfers from Beijing, striving to build a world-class port economy demonstration zone and contributing significantly to the construction of a beautiful “Bincheng” and a socialist modern metropolis in Tianjin.
